Following on from last week’s news that Buxton are returning, and will be applying for a National Development League place for 2026, the Derbyshire club have announced that their nickname will be the Ductair Bulls.

Promoter Laurence Rogers also confirmed that his team’s colours will be blue and red.

The sport’s newest team has also received a double sponsorship boost. As well as continued support of the Buxton youth development programme from Ductair through Chris and Sheila Bowen, another sponsor with Birmingham Speedway connections is coming on board.

OK T-Shirt has backed the Brummies for two seasons, providing clothing for club personnel and being the former Premiership team’s front fork cover sponsor in 2025. Now Criss Cristiano of OK has agreed to back the Buxton club in 2026, supplying clothing for the riders, promotion and staff.

Commercial managers Steve Rolleston and Paul Hoskison are delighted to have them on board again. Steve said: “Criss became an integral part of the set-up at Perry Barr after initially helping one of the Revvi lads, Leo Dugmore, after his father Andy, our media manager, approached him. We asked if he would extend his backing to the new venture at Buxton, and he jumped at the chance to become involved.

“He will sponsor us with his products and produce a range of his wares that the fans can buy. Some of these will be worn by our staff at The Speedway Show at Gaydon on November 15.

“Paul and I will be out and about in Buxton and the surrounding areas to attract sponsorship, and anyone interested, or who has a possible company or individual for us to approach, can email us at commercial@buxtonspeedway.co.uk.”
