The Buxton DUCTAIR Bulls’ application to join the National Development League is about to be decided very soon, with high hopes that the go-ahead is imminent. The directors behind the venture met with the BSPL directors via Zoom, and now await the club members of the league to approve their entry.

With the League meeting due to be held to discuss the league structure, points limit and rules, the club hope to be in a position to announce something positive soon. Once this has happened, the club can start planning their team and fixtures.

The air fence is due to be put in place this weekend. Any help with this is appreciated; the volunteers are working both Saturday and Sunday on this. Other jobs are ongoing, including completing the stands and starting to build the disabled and wheelchair area. The changing rooms are being moved into position, and work has already started on this.

Volunteers are on site from about 9 am to the afternoon on both days. With the air fence up, the inspection can be arranged, and the track tested before practices are commenced.

The club are finalising the teams contesting the MDL, sponsored by GTS Products, and joining the already announced Potters, Kings and Wolves will be the Invaders, with a lot of interest having been shown by Derbyshire supporters who were Long Eaton fans.

The club are inviting possible team sponsors for the four sides to contact commercial@buxtonspeedway.co.uk with any offers, as the body colours are ready to be produced by league sponsors GTS Products.
