BUXTON Bulls will stage the Buxton Best Pairs at Hi-Edge Raceway on Sunday afternoon, with tapes up at 3 pm.
Six pairings will contest the title, with the home side joined by representatives from select sides Stoke, Crewe, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Cradley. The Cradley line-up is expected to attract particular interest.

Alfie Bowtell and Joe Crewe will line up for the Bulls, while Sam Woods and Jack Crewe represent Stoke. Birmingham will be represented by Seth Norman and Jacob Fellows, with Jack Shimelt and Bailey Fellows riding for Crewe, and Jack Roberts and Ryan Ashcroft carrying Wolves’ hopes. Cradley complete the field with Will Boraston and Jason Garrity, who is set to make his return to the sport.
Bulls team manager Laurence Rogers said: “We’ve made things as even as we possibly can, and we’re looking forward to a good, entertaining meeting.
“We don’t see too many best pairs meetings, so we thought it would be something different for supporters and riders alike. It also teaches the younger riders the importance of team riding, which can pay off in league matches.
“I’m sure many supporters will raise an eyebrow or two when they see Jason Garrity’s name in the line-up. He expressed an interest in getting back on a bike, and we’re delighted he has accepted the invitation to take part.
“I’m sure we’ll see some entertaining racing on the afternoon, and I’m looking forward to the meeting.”
