Following the problems with their generator last weekend that caused Buxton to cancel the scheduled Derbyshire Open Championship meeting, the club have been given the support of Andrew Astley at ALL CLEAR SERVICES LTD from Darlaston, West Midlands.

He has stepped in to provide a generator for the track at Hi Edge, Buxton that will be up and running in time for the Bulls’ next home fixture next Sunday (July 26th) against Leicester.

Buxton promoter Laurence Rogers breathed a big sigh of relief when Andrew offered to come to the rescue of the club, “ I had stopped on the way to the Formula Grass Track meeting at Malpas on Saturday to inform everyone that due to the generator failure the meeting on Sunday was off.

“I pulled in next to Andrew to deliver a coat for his grandson Lucas who rides in the FGA events and in the second halves at Buxton. I told him the problem we had, and within seconds he offered us a 100kva generator he had in his unit.”

“I could not believe it, and it was like a cloud over my head had disappeared. I rang the gang at Buxton to tell them and then set about organising the transport to get it to the track at Buxton.”

“ I cannot thank Andrew enough for what he is doing for us. I was about to start looking for one online, but this sponsorship has meant I don’t have to.“
