BUXTON ‘Ductair’ Bulls look to gain their first victory of the campaign when they host Oxford Chargers in the National Development League at Hi-Edge Raceway on Sunday afternoon, 3 pm.
The Bulls have made a team change this week with Will Boraston coming in to replace Ryan Ashcroft at reserve; skipper Jack Smith misses the meeting as he is riding for his Championship club, Berwick, at Workington, so team boss Laurence Rogers brings in Ben Whalley, who has had some impressive scores around Hi-Edge this season as well as in league racing generally this year.
The Chargers are spearheaded by number one Jody Scott, and he is ably supported by Darryl Ritchings in the middle of the team. Ashton Vale and Harry Fletcher support the top two, with Senna Summers missing the meeting with a knee injury, meaning the Chargers will utilise the rider replacement facility for the meeting. At reserve, Max Broadhurst joins Emerson Betty, who replaces the retired Mason Watson to complete the line-up.
Team manager Laurence Rogers said, “We are in for another tough meeting against Oxford on Sunday and hope we can gain our first win of the season.
“They have some very good riders in their line-up and we will need to be at our best and I’m sure the lads will be eager to get points on the board, Ben (Whalley) comes in as a guest for Jack Smith who is riding at Workington and he has scored well on all his visits here and we have Will Boraston making his debut for the club at reserve and he’s eager to get some points on the board.”
