BUXTON ‘Ductair’ Bulls host the Derbyshire open meeting on Sunday afternoon at Hi-Edge Raceway, 3 pm.
Twelve riders will battle it out for the title, with home number one Alfie Bowtell and track record holder Jason Garrity as the favourites.

The favourites, though, will not be able to rest on their laurels, with twelve qualifying heats before two semi-final races and the Grand Final, of which the winner of the title will be the victor of the final heat and as is always the case, a rider who has squeezed into the final has an opportunity to become a surprise winner.
Owen Booth has performed well around the Derbyshire circuit with home-team riders Luke Harris and Jack Roberts, who are more than capable of reaching the final alongside Arran Butcher and Alex Spooner.
Bulls team boss Laurence Rogers said, “Obviously Alfie (Bowtell) and Jason (Garrity) will be expected to be amongst the front runners, but there are definitely other contenders with the likes of Jack Roberts and Luke Harris, who have been riding well around here and Owen Booth, who rode really well here on his last visit. It’s a case of getting into the semi-finals, finishing in the top two and then in the final it’s 60 seconds when anyone in the final has the chance to win the title.
“I’m sure it will be an entertaining meeting and one which I’m sure supporters will get behind their favourites.”
LINE-UP:
