BUXTON ‘Ductair’ Bulls face Oxford in the WSRA National Development League at the Cowley Stadium on Friday night, 7.30 pm.
The Bulls defeated the Chargers 51-38 at Hi-Edge Raceway and will look to gain at least a point on the road, if not all three.
The Chargers ride their home track well and are led into action by skipper Jody Scott, with solid back-up support from Senna Summers and the experienced Darryl Ritchings, and Ashton Vale and Harry Fletcher completing the top five for Oxford. At reserve, the Chargers have Max Broadhurst, with Archie Strong completing their septet.

The Bulls have recent Derbyshire Open Champion Alfie Bowtell leading them into action, and Jack Roberts, Luke Harris and Arran Butcher, who are all capable of gaining big scores on their day, with Charlie Southwick coming in as a guest for Jack Smith, with Bowtell taking over the captaincy in his absence. At reserve, Jack Shimelt is joined by Harrison Rogers, who showed up well in the individual meeting at Hi-Edge last weekend, and he will be looking to put himself in team manager Laurence Rogers’ mind with regard to a possible team place for the Bulls in 2027.
Rogers said, “We are going to Oxford looking to take all three points. We know it will be a tough meeting as they have some good riders, but so do we, and we are travelling there looking to win. We beat the Chargers at Hi-Edge, so if we’re unable to win, we will be looking for at minimum the bonus point. We have performed well over the second half of the season, and we look forward to continuing that on Friday night.”
