BUXTON ‘Ductair’ Bulls complete their 2026 campaign when they host the Leicester Lions Cubs in the WSRA National Development League.

The Bulls dropped to the foot of the table after a defeat at Oxford on Friday night, and they will need a win to avoid the wooden spoon in their first season back.

Buxton are boosted by the news that number one Alfie Bowtell has declared himself fit for the fixture. Charlie Southwick once again guests for Jack Smith while Bailey Fellows comes in to replace the injured Will Boraston.

The ‘Ductair’ Bulls have been in good form around Hi-Edge Raceway and will be looking to finish their season on a high.

The Lion Cubs have already beaten the Bulls at Hi-Edge Raceway, but they will face a stronger side on this occasion and will be without number one Freddy Hodder, as well as Max Perry, who is injured, and Tom Spencer, who is also on the sidelines. The Lion Cubs will use rider replacement for Perry while Emerson Betty comes in for Spencer. Ryan Ingram and veteran racer Ben Morley will spearhead the Cubs, and they will be supported by Seth Norman and Eli Meadows while Betty takes the final place.

Team manager Laurence Rogers said, “We’re delighted that Alfie (Bowtell) has declared himself fit, and we want to go into the close season with a victory which would also move us off the foot of the table.

“We have been riding well at home recently and will hope we can get the win on the afternoon.

“Despite the issues Leicester have got due to injuries, we will not be complacent against them, and we want to send the supporters home happy and looking forward to next season with our declaration that we will be returning to the tapes next year.”
