BUXTON host the Derbyshire Open Championship on Sunday afternoon at Hi-Edge Raceway, 3 pm.

‘Ductair’ Bulls number one Alfie Bowtell is expected to be pushing for the title, but he will no doubt be pushed all the way by Bulls skipper Jack Smith, and you can’t rule out Jack Roberts, who on his day can beat anyone around the Hi-Edge circuit.

Also likely to be amongst the contenders will be track record holder Jason Garrity, who won the pairs meeting with Will Boraston.

Garrity was beaten once during that meeting, as he was beaten by Bowtell.

Ben Whalley is also a rider who cannot be ruled out, is Ben Whalley, who has ridden the Derbyshire circuit well on his visits and will be looking to once again be looking for a big score.

Bulls team manager Laurence Rogers commented, “I’m sure this will be an entertaining meeting and that there will be several riders in with a chance of the title, and I wouldn’t like to predict the winner of the meeting.”

The meeting will be followed by the Midland Development League match, Kings v Potters.
