The Buxton DUCTAIR Bulls, in association with CRITCHLOW PLANT LTD, have secured a unique sponsorship deal with Ashton-under-Lyne based “Donate-a-Light”.

The company are providing all new lighting at Buxton Speedway for the refurbished pits, referee’s box, new changing rooms, toilets, admission kiosk and snack bar. The lighting is all the top of the range LED’s and is a big boost to the club with possible further involvement at a later stage.

Donate-A-Light CIC is a UK-based social enterprise dedicated to supporting charities through sustainable lighting solutions. By redistributing surplus LED lighting donated by manufacturers and suppliers, the organisation provides free, energy-efficient upgrades to care homes, hospices, and community projects.

Founded in 2025 and based in Greater Manchester, Donate-A-Light helps reduce energy costs, improve environments, and cut carbon emissions. Its circular approach ensures unused products are repurposed for social good, benefiting both the environment and organisations in need.

Buxton promoter Laurence Rogers is highly pleased with their involvement, “We must thank Maggie Swat for arranging the backing. She came down a few weeks back and saw all the work going on, and Maggie asked if having new LED lighting would be of interest, and naturally, we said yes! She works in the industry and did a site survey and contacted them on our behalf, and now they have come on board with us.”
