Whilst the volunteers, including some new faces, got on with their jobs around the Buxton circuit, including replacing the safety fence posts, building up the stands, repairing the container roofs, demolishing the old bar and generally tidying up, the commercial team were meeting sponsors.

Commercial manager Stephen Rolleston and Buxton promoter Laurence Rogers met up with two backers for 2026. John Bailey, who has known Rogers for many years and acted as his clerk of the course at Mildenhall, came to finalise his backing of the club for 2026, which includes being the sponsor of the impressive Bulls body colour. He is also providing other support, which is vital for the club.
He was accompanied by his good friend Stuart Hole, from long-time backers of Buxton, Wayside Farm, who will also become involved with the club with sponsorship and backing, with the exact extent to be finalised in the new year.
Rolleston is thankful for the duo’s support; “Naturally, we are starting from a blank canvas with this new venture, but we have already secured some good backing, with more to come as myself and Paul Hoskison contact businesses far and wide in a campaign to gain new sponsors and advertisers. A big thank you to John Bailey and Stuart Hole for coming along to meet us at the track on Sunday. If anyone is interested in having talks, please e-mail us at commercial@buxtonspeedway.co.uk and we will get in touch with you.”
